The whole building looks gorgeous! So festive! Wouldn't it be lovely to have decorations up all year? I've noticed that Accounting has a much cheerier atmosphere and while I don't have any proof, that has to be good for productivity. It feels like it's been such a long time since I've visited my parents, so that will be nice, as long as Dad doesn't start up about politics. Last year was a bit of a disaster because of the whole ordeal with the elopement and divorce (my parents didn't approve, surprise!), but I feel like I'm making much better decisions these days. All the attention will be on my brother Frank's new baby, Peter, anyway! He's so adorable. |

Must you all be so rash? Sexual encounters in cages meant for dragons? Whinging over spider mortality? It's unbecoming, you know. This is why I have begun to keep a list detailing the positives and negatives of every decision I make. I would suggest that many of you do the same! I've been reading up on various philosophers for the last couple of days and I found that Confucius once said that "the cautious seldom err". I tend to agree! |

Apparently Accounting DOES have a Quidditch team. I don't know why nobody told me. Or maybe I just forgot. It's happened before! Sadly, we didn't fare too well but as I am On Record as predicting Sports and Games as victors in this tournament (see: Katherine Roper's second entry), I still sort of win by being right! Isn't that just wonderful?
While I know everyone who is anyone has commented on the books (journals? devices?) I simply must opine on the subject. I adore them! They could be prettier, I admit that much, but they're not ugly and it's just wonderful to communicate more with other members of the Ministry. Not that I don't love my department, but there aren't very many of us. You know how it is. |
